Motor Mall is urging both customers and employees to fill up their car boots and head to the showroom to help support the elderly in Jersey.
The motor dealers have joined Age Concern’s ‘Host a Bin’ campaign and are providing a drop off for any unwanted clothing, bric-a-brac, jewellery, electricals, homeware and toys.
The bins are popping up at workplaces all over the island to help reduce wastage and any items collected are then recycled and re-sold to help the work of the charity.
Commenting on the campaign, Motor Mall’s Sales Manager Simon Williams said, “Our local charities have been hit hard by COVID-19 and we’re delighted to be supporting such a sustainable campaign. This is a perfect opportunity for us all to have a clear-out whilst helping a really worthy cause.”
“Age Concern relies totally on the generosity of islanders to support its work and we are committed to helping the local community in any way that we can.”
Age Concern Jersey supports the elderly and campaigns on their behalf. The charity has clear vision - that there should be no ageism, age should be recognised as a gift not a burden and that older people should be given respect and courtesy.
