A local charity is parking up at Motor Mall next weekend with a special ‘pop-up shop’ full of gift ideas for Mother’s Day.
Age Concern’s mobile charity shop will be open in the showroom from 10am until 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday, selling all sorts from clothing and bric-a-brac to toys and books.
Commenting on the weekend, Motor Mall’s Sales Manager Simon Williams said, “Age Concern relies totally on the generosity of islanders to support its work and this weekend is the perfect opportunity to get a great gift for mum and help a really worthy cause.”
Age Concern Jersey supports the elderly and campaigns on their behalf. The charity has clear vision - that there should be no ageism, age should be recognised as a gift not a burden and that older people should be given respect and courtesy.
Naturally, safety is still at the forefront of everyone’s minds and the Motor Mall team will be working to the latest COVID guidelines to ensure visitors can browse in confidence. The venue will be restricted to a maximum of 30 customers at any one time and each visitor will be required to check-in using the QR Scanner for track and trace purposes.
